Starting fityk-announce...

So far FreshMeat.net has been recommended for new version notifications.
I'll still publish release announcements on FreshMeat, but now there is another channel, this blog hosted by Blogger.com (Google). E-mail notifications for new posts are provided by another Google service, FeedBurner.

The main difference is that this channel will be also used to post important announcements from time to time, what is not possible using FM.
